One of our most versatile features is instruction blocks. These are embedded commands you place directly in your manuscript to guide the AI at specific moments.
Want the AI to write the next scene? Drop an instruction block and describe what you need. You can request up to 5,000 words per instruction, and the more you expect, the more detailed your guidance should be to keep the AI aligned with your vision.
There’s no single “correct” way to use instruction blocks—they adapt to your workflow. Some writers use them constantly, others sparingly. Use them however serves your creative process best.
Choose Your AI Provider: True Flexibility
We believe you should own your relationship with AI providers, not be locked into ours. That’s why we let you bring your own API keys.
We currently support six major providers: OpenRouter (recommended for its extensive catalog of different language models), Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Mistral, and Together AI. You can connect multiple providers and switch between them as needed.
For each prompt, you select which model to use. The platform remembers your last choice for each prompt category, maintaining your preferences without constant reselection. This means you’re never trapped by platform decisions—if a better model emerges, you can use it immediately.
Note that while the platform itself is free during beta, AI providers may charge for using their models through your API keys—though some offer limited free tiers.
